What is physical activity?


Physical Activity is any body movement that requires energy expenditure and increases heart rate and breathing.  Well that is a very scientific answer, isn't it!  Examples of physical activity are running, walking, jumping, skipping, playing sports, cycling, gymnastics, heavy gardening, weight training, and the list could go on and on. But you get the idea.
